Most Canadians are aware that tobacco use can have a negative affect on your general health, such as: heart disease, lung cancer, and high cholesterol. But did you know there are affects on your oral health as well? For World No Tobacco Day, we wanted to let you know what affects we see in the dental office, from prolonged tobacco use.
The most common affects on your oral health are:
- gum disease
- tooth loss
- in more severe cases, mouth cancer.
